Wouldn't Joss Whedon make a really great Starfleet Academy? That show (young people looking hot in bodysuits) has been bounced around for the next Trek installment, much to the chagrin of Trekkies.
Confession: I thought J. Michael Straczynski's Babylon 5 was quite excellent when I was watching it back in the day. The last year got a little too wacky, but the middle seasons were all most excellent. In a few years, I will end up overpaying big-time for the season DVD box sets.
