Everyone is google-hatin. I was fine until I read the comments. Allow me to flame:

Q:"I do not understand why Google Desktop could not search inside Adobe pdf documents"
A: Shut up you ninny - It's a BETA!

Q: "Not impressed. Like a 1-year undergraduate project."
A: Yeah, like one completed by an undergrand now making LOOT working for Google.

Q: "You're looking at my desktop, so why do you do it in a lousy web browser user interface?"
A: Because the results are hyperlinked? Becuase it combines web results with your desktop results? Because you're an AOL user who would be too stupid to find it in your start menu if it wasn't web based?

Q: "Maybe one day Microsoft will pull together something better. And maybe X1 is better."
A: Microsoft will push out an inferior product sometime after 2006 when Longhorn is released. Have fun waiting! X1 costs $74.99. I don't care if it is better, you'd be silly to pay that much for it.

Q: "basically, it only searches .html and .txt very fast, but since it doest do other file types, its pretty worthless.."
A: Speaking of worthless... How about RTFM? It searches Outlook/Outlook Express, Word, AOL Instant Messenger, Excel, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, and Text. You, my stupid user friend, are a tool.

Ahhh, I feel better.
