Well, well, well. Mircosoft is releasing thier XML-based Office file formats so that third-party applications can work with them. Word is already outed, and Excel will soon follow.
One soft return comment: I'm actually looking forward to boning up on XML now. It would be nice to have something like, say a PHP web page, strip out the relevant information in a Word 2003 document and format it for the web. Without all that stupid MS CSS crap.
