This notifier is for the Windows crowd only. The rest of us will have to stick with the Gmail Notifier & Gmail mailto: extensions for Firefox.
After a little bit of use, I notice 2 things that I don't really like:1. It opens your mailbox in standard http mode (no https).2. It will not automatically log in for you.Still, a worthwhile download, and it's nice to know that Google is working on this!
It's probably best to stick with g-mailto and the g-mail notifier extension for Firefox right now. Hopefully Google with improve the program over time.
